Whisky review : The Arran Malt 10 years old, Single Sherry Cask bottled Cask No.1096 bottled No.92/318 @ 55.1%
-Another great product from Arran
-Highly respectable cask finish again !
Colour: very pale straw, like a watered-down apple juice. light bodied.
Nose: hot caramel, spices, a lot spices, iodine, mineral touches, strong spirit.
Mouth: Neat, tingly, caramel, hot melting toffee, lingering hot butterscotch, tingly, chili, spices. Very dense and complex. Watered down, lighter spicy caramel, wet rocks, bitter notes, sherry, bitter cherries.
Finish: sticky lingering sherry spices, wood tones. Nice sweet notes. Not too long yet nice finish.
A for the taste. Nice spices, fresh tingly caramel. Great whisky to drink with water.
A for the price. for 65$ (SAQ) it's a great purchase. A bit overpriced considering the age (10) but the intrinsic quality of the spirit makes it a great product.
A for the presentation. Clean bottling with handwriting. It has all the required info.
