Whisky review: Hepburn's Choice Auchentoshan 11 years old single Cask bottled @ 46%
-Single Cask
-Independent bottler
-Bottled @46%
Colour: pure yellow, bright gold. oily with long legs.
Nose: light fruits, ether notes, robustness come through....
Mouth: light fruits, ethery cough medicine, straw, wet straw, soft yellow fruits, vegetal notes, sap
Finish: chilli burn, pear, some sweet notes, but still falls flat.
C+ for the taste. I'm not a fan of lowland....and especially non-cask strength. Too subtle for me anyway.
C for the price. 85$ for this....c'mon. We can buy the 12 years old for 58$....enough said.
C for presentation. A sad bottle.....
